The Crow’s Nest is a two-story, Alpine Lodge nestled on a hillside, surrounded by a majestic forest. Common areas include a light industrial kitchen, meeting room, dining room and living room which perfectly accommodate retreats of all types. A tall, stone fireplace graces a living room with towering windows to bring in natural light and enjoy the beautiful views. Rocking chairs complete the relaxing experience outside on the deck. The Crow’s Nest is open year round and has heat and AC.

Crow’s Nest

Eleven double rooms are furnished with two double beds and have private bathrooms. Additionally, there are four “Hermitage” rooms each with one double bed and a private bathroom. Bedding and bath linens are provided. A small lounge with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and sink serves the three lower level double rooms and four Hermitage rooms. All other common areas plus eight double rooms are on the upper level which is the main level, adjacent to the parking lot, so it’s easily accessible. Exclusive use of these common areas, living room, dining room and light industrial kitchen are included with a minimum group rental of eight double rooms.

Also included is the meeting room with chairs, tables, whiteboard and projector. Two night minimum stays are required on weekends. In all, there is room to accommodate 22 plus guests all under one roof. If that isn’t enough room, check out Moretz Cabin.

Your group is welcome to prepare your own meals in the Crow’s Nest Kitchen. Lutherock also has access to the services of a chef from Aramark who will cook for groups of 20 guests or more. Ask our Reservation Coordinator about catering and explore all the options available to your group.

Meal service is offered at Lutherock upon request, and kitchens are available as well in all lodging and meeting spaces except for the Cabin Village and the Platform Tents.

some of the most beautiful scenery, vast outdoor adventures opportunities, and unique shopping experiences in Western North Carolina. Attractions include: Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock,, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, Sugar Mountain Resort, Tweetsie Railroad and the Linville Gorge. Close proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway, skiing, snowboarding, tubing, white water rafting, hiking, caving, rock climbing, shopping and restaurants and microbreweries insures that there is truly something for everyone!
